The Story Behind PractiPal

(It Involves Therapy, Tech, and Too Much Coffee)

It started with a flying appointment book...

PractiPal was born in 2023 when a frustrated therapist threw her paper appointment book across the
room and it hit a tech developer right in the inspiration.

After several cups of chai and deep existential conversations, PractiPal emerged from the chaos.

Our founders, Dr. Priya (the therapist) and Arjun (the developer who ducked too late), realized that the
tools therapists were using didn’t match the compassion and care they provided to their clients.

"We wanted to create something that felt as supportive and thoughtful as therapists themselves."

How We're Making Mental Health Better in India

(Besides Saving Therapists from Paperwork-Induced Breakdowns)

At PractiPal, we believe in the power of therapy to transform lives. For every 6th month of paid subscription, we donate to mental health organizations across India. We're committed to reducing stigma and increasing access to mental health services.

We've partnered with mental health organizations that are doing the hard work in places where mental health is still taboo. Our contribution? Making their paperwork less painful so they can focus on breaking stigmas and changing lives.
